Eric Owouko, popularly known as minister Erico, is a dynamic gospel minister whose heartfelt worship and anointed songs have touched lives across the globe. From humble beginnings in Lome Togo to the international stage, his journey is a testimony of God’s grace and divine calling.
Being born into a Christian home, his environment was impactful on his life and ministry . It all started with the wonderful parents God gave him and through the teachings ‘of the church and the acceptance of salvation, grace, repentance he became born again.
The emphasis is on the presence of the Holy spirit, which is the game changer here as the Holy Spirit reveals songs in moments of prayer to this great vessel.
Despite the noise in the world today, minister Erico still finds time to do his devotion and meditation of the word of God which to him is his weapon and strength to do good music for the glory of God.
Being a choir member, minister Erico was influenced by the hymnal songs and classical melodies. He sings treble, tenor and plays the piano.
Minister erico is also a choir master, a producer , and a scholar in Bible and theology with an associate degree.
Like every other gospel music minister, Erico faced some early struggles with resources and materials but with the help of the Holy Spirit, his family, friends and well wishers, he was able to harness the God given talent bestowed on him.
For example, minister Erico recounts of a moment his lovely mother bought a small synthesizer keyboard of one octave and gave it to him because of his love for music. To reciprocate this gesture, minister Erico too has bought a 7 octave keyboard to his son to encourage his ministry.
Minister Erico recently released a single titled “Holy spirit” which is available on all digital stores.
What is success to a lot of music ministers today is not the same for Erico. For him, success is measured by act of obedience to the holy spirit. He believes that we cannot worship God or do His will without the presence of the Holy Spirit.
His hobbies are reading, teaching and spending more time with family.
Minister Erico’s message to aspiring music ministers and the body of Christ in general is to be sensitive and faithful to the Holy spirit who has the power to mold, fill and use us for as His vessels.

For minister Erico , music is not just a career; it’s my altar of worship. Every song is a prayer, every lyric is a testimony. His mission is to lead people back to God’s presence.
